In the north of the villages of Albions and Laion, there is the small locality of Fraina, between 1,000 and 1,200 m above sea level. Only 50 inhabitants live in the farms and buildings spread on the western slope of the Monte Rasciesa. Along woods an meadows, you can go on a discovery journey on foot or experience the landscape on your mountain bike. And in winter, when snow covers the landscape, you can enjoy snow-shoeing and winter hiking.
The little church consecrated to Saint John the Baptist has been mentioned for the first time in 1239. The actual church building, however, is supposed to have been built later, in the 18th century. On the wall, there are frescoes of the year 1727, illustrating Saint John the Baptist, Saint Lawrence, Saint Christopher and Steven.
