Skiing area Valgardena - Alpe di Siusi

Saslong, Cir, Ciampinoi, Seceda or Alpe di Siusi - varied and numerous are the slopes at the foot of the world-famous mountains in the Val Gardena

In the skiing paradise Val Gardena, the world elite of skiing meets. No wonder, as this is where you can find world-famous slopes such as the Saslong or the Seceda, skiable from December to April. Moreover the skiing area Val Gardena is connected to the world's largest ski carousel as well as to the nearby Alpe di Siusi skiing area, the largest high Alpine pasture of Europe.

Skiing beyond borders, that's the order of the day in the Val Gardena. Thanks to the ski carousel Dolomiti Superski, you can ski on 1,220 km of ski slopes in 12 different regions. Also very popular is the ski circuit Sellaronda, making you ski round the Gruppo Sella in the Dolomites within one day ony. A less known but also worthwhile ski circuit is the "Gherdeina Skiring“, stretching from the Alpe Seceda to the Cucasattel, to Furnes, Col Raiser, the Saslonch slope, to the Piz Sella and the Dantercepies.

From Ortisei you reach one of the most family-friendly skiing areas of South Tyrol, the Alpe di Siusi, with 60 km of ski slopes and state-of-the-art snow-making equipment, able to cover all ski runs with artificial snow. In the surroundings of the slopes there are plenty of cross-country ski tracks for all those who prefer this winter sports.

In the south of Selva Gardena, there is the skiing area of Ciampinoi with runs leading down to Selva Gardena, S. Cristina and Plan de Gralba. The slopes of Ciampinoi have already been quite famous from the 30s of the last century and were venue for the Ski World Championships in 1970.

The skiing area Seceda - Col Raiser - Rasciesa offers skiing pleasure high above the Val Gardena, from 1,200 m to 2,500 m a.s.l. Near Ortisei, there are 10.5 km, in the surroundings of S. Cristina, about 6 km. From the top of the Seceda you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view from the Ortles to the Großglockner mountain.

All together form the skiing adventure Val Gardena Alpe di Siusi, stretching from 1,236 m to 2,680 m a.s.l. (30% easy slopes, 60% medium, 10% difficult). Last but not least, the mountain huts in the skiing area make your ski day also a culinary highlight, thanks to the treats they offer.

By the way: Repeatedly the ski area Val Gardena - Alpe di Siusi ranks among the best ski areas in the world in various competitions.

The times indicated correspond to those of the Saslong Cable Car: It operates with the other lift facilities every day from early December to early April. Some lower located ski lifts will close in spring a week earlier, at the end of March.

Dates and opening times may vary depending on snow and weather conditions!

Winter season start 2024/25 on December 5.
