Die Ladiner

The highly popluar folk music group “Die Ladiner” (The Ladins) captures everybody’s hearts with their touching songs

"Die Ladiner" - Joakin from Ortisei and Otto from Bressanone - have contributed to folk music history and are known all over the German-speaking area for their touching music. The songs allow to imagine the spectacular beauty of the Dolomites, the mountain world is a central theme.

In 2002 the two likeable men take part in the Folk Music Grand Prix and immediately come 2nd with their song "Allein in Einsamkeit" (Alone in loneliness), written by Joakin's brother Reinhard Stuffer. This is the beginning of an amazing career, ranging from countless TV performances to numerous awards and prices. In 2004 they are rewarded "Musikantenkönig des Monats Mai", which means they were rewarded Kings of Music for the entire month of May - with the song "Erzähl mir deine Träume" (Tell me about your dreams). In that year follows the 1st place at the Folk Music Grand Prix with "Beuge dich vor grauem Haar" (Bow your head in front of grey hair).

In the following years - until now - "Die Ladiner" can add to their career nominations for Amadeus (Austrian Music Awards) and Echo (German Music Prize) as well as numerous gold and platinum records. Their most recognised songs include "Wahre Liebe ein Leben lang" (True love for a lifetime) and "Es lebe die Freundschaft" (Long live the friendship) as well as the album "Dolomiten Weihnacht" (Christmas in the Dolomites). In 2009 "Die Ladiner" are awarded for 1.000.000 recordings, in 2012 with the "Goldene Antenne der Volksmusik". If you want to see the famous folk music band live on stage, you might consider participating at the fan hike in Val Gardena or going to one of the concerts in South Tyrol!
