At 2,585 m a.s.l., in the heart of the Sella Group, a beautiful mountain lake with a mountain hut on its waterfront is located in a barren rocky landscape. It is Lake Pisciadù, in Ladin called Lech dl Pisciadù.
The Pisciadù Mountain Hut on the waterfront, a hut of the Italian Alpine Association, was already built in 1902. The view stretches from the Cir Peaks to the Sassongher and the Piz Boè, all of them peaks of the Gardena Dolomites. The lake is accessible within a hike starting at the Passo Gardena along the path no. 666 and the Val Setus valley or along the rather difficult Pisciadù Via Ferrata.
