As the entire area at the southern river side of the Rio Gardena, also the village of Roncadizza belongs to the municipality of Castelrotto. However, due to its vicinity to Ortisei as well as its merely Ladin language and culture, the administrative border is minor matter. The territory of Roncadizza stretches from the foot of Monte Bullaccia to the Passo Pinei. The centre is located at 1,170 m a.s.l. in the north of the Chiusa di Pontives on the left side of the valley, where the Rio Bulla finds its way into the valley.
Clearly visible also from the Valgardena road is the modern steeple of the parish church of Roncadizza, constructed in 1985, when the San Giuseppe chapel became too small considering the number of believers. Other attractions of Roncadizza are the Ortisei tennis centre and the show-dairy of Gherdëina Lat.
